Others, like the SteakChamp 3-in-1 Steak Thermometer, can make grilling that much easier. And, of course, the list also highlights some of the best grill choices, including some more unusual options like the Star Wars TIE Fighter Gas Grill.
We've picked a range of funny, to useful, to kinda weird, all in a range of categories. So that the list is easier to follow, we’ve broken it down into price categories:
$10 – $50 Gifts
Wood Chip Smoking Grill Gift Set
This kit acts as a complete set for smoking meat and includes three types of wood, along with a reusable smoker box, smoked sea salt and a meat thermometer. The various components make it incredibly easy to smoke food on the grill, even for people who haven’t tried it before. The difference in flavor alone is bound to make any father into a diehard fan.
The Big BBQ Gift Set
This gift set is another perfect example of seasonings for any grill fanatic. In this case, the set offers two containers of spice rub, along with three types of barbecue sauce and a unique bottle opener. The overall presentation is also pretty fun and helps to create a rustic-looking gift.
Weber Rapidfire Chimney Starter
This Weber product may be a simple tool but it is also a powerful one. Basically, it is designed to make lighting a charcoal fire easy and effective, which is perfect for kettle grills. The company estimates that the chimney starte can hold enough briquettes for up to a 22 1/2 inch grill and the entire thing is also easy to use. As a gift option, this may be perfect for any father that normally struggles to light a grill effectively. And, if nothing else, it lets dad get to the fun part of grilling faster.
Ekogrips BBQ Oven Gloves
Grills get very hot and there is an ever-present risk of burning your hands. As such, a gift like these gloves is a must for any grill fanatic, especially if they don’t have reliable heat protection. The gloves here are designed to protect up to 425°F and that includes keeping the wrist area safe as well. The bright color is a bit of fun as well, especially for fathers that like to stand out.
Deluxe 20-Piece Grill Kit
Having the right tools is critical for any task, including grilling. So, why not make sure dad has everything he needs, all in one place? This particular kit includes all of the essentials, along with various other useful tools, including skewers, a cleaning brush and corn holders. Plus, it all comes within a single carry case, making it easy for dad to store his tools or take them with him.
Pitmaster: Recipes, Techniques & Barbecue Wisdom
As a general rule, anyone heavily into grilling probably doesn’t need a cookbook. But, this particular book is a great one for learning new techniques and ensuring that meals turn out exactly how they are meant to. The overall style would also make it enjoyable simply as something to read, especially as a wide variety of topics are covered.
The Grill Father Engraved Cutting Board
This is a handmade product and it would strongly suit any grill fanatic, especially for dads that also love The Godfather. At the same time, this is also a high-quality wooden chopping board, so it would be a good choice for anyone who loves to cook inside or outside.
Cedar Grilling Planks
Grilling planks can be a powerful way to get more flavor out of food when cooking it. In fact, salmon and chicken often taste so much better when using this type of plank than when cooking directly on the grill. Now, there are many different planks on the market but this brand can work well simply because of the price. After all, cedar planks are designed to be single-use and anyone that loves grilling may find that they go through them quickly.
Outset Steak Collection Grill Charms
An ongoing challenge when grilling is that everybody likes their steak done differently. These charms are designed to be placed in steak and help to identify the desired degree of cooking. The trick is a fun one and helps to take some of the stress out of grilling. Plus, these inexpensive charms make a great addition to many other Father’s Day gifts.
Grill Daddy Pro Grill Brush
Speaking of good simple gifts, this grill brush is another option. It is an interesting idea, as it uses steam to make grill cleaning fast and easy. The brush means that dad can avoid using chemicals to clean the grill. Plus, the design is very practical and the brush is easy to use.
Stove Top Smokeless Indoor Grill
This indoor grill is a great way to get much of the taste and texture of grilled food, while cooking inside the house. This is particularly powerful when the weather is bad and grilling outside simply isn’t an option. The tool could also help dad get into cooking more, as he would be working with all the resources of the kitchen at his disposal.
Meat Tenderizer Needle
This tool serves two purposes. First, it helps to tenderize meat, as the blades create pockets within the meat. Second, this is a way to effectively marinate meat. With it, you can insert flavor into the interior of the meat itself. Not only does this make the meat taste better but it also helps ensure that it is tender, regardless of the cut of meat.
Smoky meat is an ideal outcome for any grill fanatic and there are numerous ways to achieve that goal. However, one such approach is this Stovetop Smoker. As the name suggests, this is a mini smoker box that can be used on top of a stove. But, it can actually be used on any heat source – indoor or outdoor. The variation pictured has a sterno holder and a base, although you could still use it over the grill.
The same seller also has other variations, including larger models. This lets you pick which option suits your dad the best.

BAMP LED Grill Light
With this product, BAMP stands for ‘Bad Ass Multi Purpose’, which is a fairly good description of the light. The overall purpose of the light is simply to illuminate the grill, making it possible to cook regardless of the time of day. However, the overall design means that this is a resilient and flexible way of doing so. In particular, the tool simply clamps onto the side of the barbecue and the arm is easily movable, making it simple to position in just the right place.
As the marketing mentions, this gift also works well for non-grill related uses. After all, it is basically just a LED lamp that can be clamped anywhere. This would make it perfect for camping and many other situations.
$50 – $100 Gifts
ThermoPro Remote Digital Meat Thermometer
Making sure meat is cooked well is an essential component of grilling – and products like this meat thermometer make that process so much easier. This particular tool is easy to use and operates wirelessly, making it possible to keep an eye on cooking from a distance. While there are many different meat thermometers out there, this one is enough of a gadget to excite many dads and also happens to be reliable and easy to use.
Weber Kettle Charcoal Grill
We’re talking about gifts for men who love grilling, so it would be remiss of us to not actually feature some grills along the way. Of course, there are many different products and brands out there. But, if you’re going to surprise dad with a new grill, getting a high-quality one is absolutely essential.
This Weber charcoal grill is one such option. One advantage is that the grill is fairly affordable, while also still being reliable. In fact, this is probably my favorite charcoal grill and it is also very portable, which is another advantage. Because the grill is so common, there are also many accessories and products that you can buy to go along with it.
George Foreman Indoor/Outdoor Grill
This particular grill option is a little different than most, simply because it is a type of George Foreman grill. As a result, it makes use of electricity for heating and is also designed to drain fat. The style works well for both indoor and outdoor use, although you do need to have a power socket handy. Still, it’s easy to see how this would be appealing, especially as the end product looks elegant.
Secura Reversible 2-in-1 Grill
For the most part, this is an indoor grill, especially as it does rely on electricity as a power source. However, it is also a fairly unique grill and one that could be entertaining for any barbecue enthusiast. The most unusual thing about it is that the grill plate is reversible. So, one side acts as a griddle, while the other is a flat cooking surface. This makes for a versatile tool, especially as it has a glass lid to help prevent splatter and keep the heat in.
Grillbot Automatic Grill Cleaner
This gift is perfect for anyone who hates cleaning their grill. For that matter, it could work well for any dad who tends to avoid cleaning the grill for as long as possible. As the name suggests, it is an automatic grill cleaner. The idea is fairly similar to the automatic vacuum cleaners – although this one is considerably more powerful.
Flipbox XL Insulation Box
This box isn’t exactly made for grilling. Instead, it is a collapsible insulation box that can keep food cool or warm. However, the idea does have its uses for grilling. For one thing, it could be a way to keep raw meat cool, especially if dad is cooking for a large number of people. Alternatively, it can just act as a beer cooler. After all, most barbecues involve at least some booze and that tends to be part of the fun.
Loftlighter Fire Lighting Tool
Lighting the grill can sometimes be a frustrating experience and easily leads to singed hairs or even burns. That’s where this gift idea comes in. It is a high-quality lighting tool that makes it fast and easy to light any type of grill. It also helps to make the heating process faster for goals, which is perfect for lighting a bonfire or a charcoal grill.
SteakChamp 3-in-1 Steak Thermometer
This cool device is a great way to make sure dad’s grilling turns out perfectly every time. The thermometer is heat resistant, so it can simply be inserted into the meat and kept there throughout cooking. The LED flashes based on internal temperature, showing when steaks are medium rare, medium or medium well. The company’s grilling guide also shows how these signals apply to other types of meat.
With this particular product, you only get one device – but one is typically all that is needed. After all, if you’re cooking multiple steaks at the same time, they will roughly turn out the same. The thermometer allows anyone to use the temperature reading from one steak to make decisions about all of the others.
Char-Broil Premium Electric Rotisserie
Rotisserie cooking produces some amazing food. But, did you know that you can do this on the grill as well? This particular product is one example and it is designed for most types of 3-burner and 4-burner grills. The design is mostly plastic and can be used for up to 20 pounds of meat. The electric motor turns the rotisserie offering an inexpensive way to rotisserie cook at home.
The Original Bacon Explosion
Here’s a fairly unique option. Known as the Bacon Explosion, this sausage comes from BBQ Addicts and is basically a sausage that has been wrapped in bacon and also stuffed with bacon. Each one is around 3 pounds and contains around 10 to 12 servings. All-in-all, this makes for a very impressive sausage, especially for anybody that loves bacon.
Gourmet BBQ Sauce Tool Box
What’s a barbecue without great sauces? This selection provides multiple choices along with Bloody Mary Mix, BBQ rubs and smoky pickles. The presentation is also better than most other options, especially as dad ends up with a functional tool box at the end of it.
Char-Griller Tabletop Charcoal Grill
This smaller grill option looks great and is extremely functional. Not only does it work as a conventional grill but it can also be used as a smoker. Additionally, the design is compatible with various products from the Char-Griller company, giving dad the option to use this as a side fire box as well. Finally, the table top nature of this grill means that it would work well in many small backyards, where a regular grill might not.
Smoke Hollow Tabletop Gas Grill
This product from Smoke Hollow is another tabletop grill although the visual style is considerably different. In this case, the item is basically a miniature gas grill, which makes it perfect for tailgating and for camping. Even though it is on the small side, the grill does cook around 5 to 6 steaks, so you could easily feed a family with it.
Grill Master Crate
If you’re looking for high-quality products for a grill lover, this set is certainly one to consider. Unlike other gift boxes, it offers a combination of consumables and functional items. The brass knuckle meat tenderizer is one fun example of that pattern. Plus, the various components could help dad get started in smoking food.
Besides that, both this kit and the next in the list are actually packaged in a crate. I know many men that would enjoy that approach. If nothing else, you’re giving an unusual gift.
Pizza Grilling Crate
The crate here is also about grilling. But, this time the emphasis is specifically on pizza. More than anything, the choice of components is perfect for anybody who likes the idea of making their own pizza but has never tried to do so. As a result, the crate would be a good gift on its own or combined with a pizza oven.
Pizza Stone With Thermometer Base
One of the simplest ways to cook homemade pizza is to use a pizza stone on the grill. Sure, you can actually cook pizza on the grill directly but doing so can be messy and isn’t that effective. This gift idea is basically a pizza stone that is specifically designed for the grill. To do so, the company has created a thermometer base, which allows you to monitor the temperature of the pizza and get great results every time.
Now, a pizza stone on a grill will never get as hot as a pizza oven and there are some examples of those later in this list. But, even with that limitation, this type of product is effective. If nothing else, it’s much more powerful than using a conventional oven.
$100 – $500 Gifts
BakerStone Pizza Oven Box
Any dad that enjoys grilling would probably love the chance to make their own pizzas. But, actual wood fire pizza ovens are too expensive and impractical for a Father’s Day gift, which is where beauties like this come in. This box basically lets you convert a regular 3-burner gas grill into a powerful and effective pizza oven. It is extremely easy to setup and is also a blast to use.
You can also find out more about how the pizza oven works and what it offers in my full BakerStone Pizza Oven Box review.
KettlePizza Gas Pro Deluxe
Another option for making pizzas in the backyard is this KettlePizza Gas Pro Deluxe. The general concept is the same, where you’re converting your grill into a type of pizza oven. But, in this case, the overall style is different and the tool isn’t self-contained. Of the two, I actually prefer this option and you can see why in my full review.
KettlePizza Pizza Oven Kit with Pizza Stone and Peel
We’re not going to spend this whole list talking about pizza – but I do want to highlight a couple more products that can make amazing options for Father’s Day. This option is like the previous two in that it lets you turn a grill into a pizza oven. But, in this case, it works with a charcoal grill, rather than a gas one. Once again, you can read more about what is involved in my detailed review.
Uuni Portable Wood Pellet Pizza Oven
This portable pizza oven is another option for any grill fanatic. It is also a little different than the other alternatives that were mentioned previously but that’s not a bad thing. In this case, the item is a small, light and easy to move pizza oven that doesn’t rely on a grill. Instead, it takes advantage of wood pellets to heat it.
By doing so, this little pizza oven still gives the real wood flavor that you get from a traditional pizza oven. At the same time, it gets beyond 900°F in temperature. As a result, you can easily make authentic pizzas in it and the entire product is very easy to use.
Igloo Trailmate Journey Cooler
There are many reasons why grill fanatics need to keep things cool, regardless of whether we’re talking about raw meat or beer for the boys. No matter what is placed inside it, this Trailmate Journey Cooler is an effective way to ensure cooling. Plus, the cooler is extremely portable. Combine this with a portable grill and it would be easy to set up a barbecue on the go.
The Big Daddy Steak Collection
Tools for grilling make for great gifts, that’s true. But, there’s something even more powerful about choosing meat as a gift. This works particularly well for any dad who already has most (or all) of the grilling tools that he would ever need. Plus, selections like this one provide dad with higher quality steak than he might ever buy for himself.
BBQ of the Month Club (3 months)
While we’re talking about meat as a gift, here’s a second choice that may work even better. This is a subscription service that delivers barbecue meat and sides monthly. What is provided each month varies and the company has a list of the different offerings on their site. Additionally, you can choose how long you subscribe for, with the longest option being a year.
Coleman Road Trip Portable Grill
Grilling doesn’t have to be exclusively a backyard hobby, especially not with products like this. This grill is specifically designed to be portable and even folds down so you can easily carry it. The design makes it fast to set up and is great for dads who want something easy to move – but are interested in a gas grill, rather than a charcoal one.
Kalorik Indoor/Outdoor Grill With Radio And iPod Connection
Here’s another slightly unusual option for a grill. Like the George Foreman option earlier in this list, the product here is an electric grill, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It is also an interesting choice for any dad into gadgets as it has a radio and built-in speakers, along with the ability to connect to iPods (it can also play music from Android). Those features would make the grill especially fun at parties or for anyone who loves their music.
Weber Gas Grill
When it comes to grills, this is one of my favorite options and is a powerful style of grill overall. The model itself is also a popular grill in its own right and performs well regardless of what is cooked on it or how often it is used. The grill also works well with products like the KettlePizza Gas Pro from earlier, which just serves to make it that much more versatile.

Star Wars TIE Fighter Gas Grill
Who says that grills have to be purely functional? With this product, you have an effective portable grill that would be particularly fun for any Star Wars lover. The Star Wars component isn’t just limited to overall appearance either. Instead, the grill itself has a reverse Star Wars logo, allowing dad to grill that into food.
Char-Griller Akorn Jr. Kamado Kooker
The style of this grill is a little different than normal, especially as the product looks and feels more resilient than most other charcoal grills. However, despite that, the product is portable and would be a good choice for camping or tailgating, as well as grilling in the backyard.
Fuego Element Carbon Steel Gas Grill
There have been many different grills on this list – but honestly, grills are the most powerful tool for anybody who is passionate about their meat. Plus, getting the right product is essential and can make all the difference in the world. With that in mind, this particular grill is interesting because it is somewhat unusual. Basically, it is a gas grill but the visual style is more similar to a charcoal grill.
The small size and portability make this gas grill perfect in small backyards or patios, especially as the gas bottle fits within the lower part of the grill. The size would also be useful for anyone who is just cooking for one or two people, rather than for a large group.
$500 – $1,000 Gifts
Camp Chef Woodwind Pellet Grill
This pellet grill is an interesting alternative to a conventional barbecue. As the name suggests, it takes advantage of wood pellets to heat, rather than gas or charcoal. That approach imparts a wood fired flavor to food and offers considerable control over the temperature. It is also possible to vary the type of wood pellets is used to influence the overall flavor of the food.
Char-Griller Duo Grill
One final grill to consider is this model here. The grill is very unusual, as it is both a gas and a charcoal grill. The end result does take up more space than normal – but, it offers the best of both worlds. It is also a fun choice for dads that try to get the absolute best outcomes when they are grilling. At the same time, there is also much more space than normal, which is a must for anyone who regularly cooks for a crowd.
