Makeup ranges from a fun hobby for some to a full-on passion and perhaps even career for others. Regardless of where you stand, you can never have enough makeup. There are thousands of colors out there for eyes, cheeks, lips, and more. With a few makeup subscription boxes, you can build your collection quickly and have so much fun with it.

Makeup delivery services are also a great way to discover new products and brands without having to do all the grunt work.

If you’re into vegan beauty, there are boxes that find all the best vegan makeup for you and send it right to your door.

If you like fun, adventurous colors, there’s a subscription for you, too. Do you like supporting small, independent, and female-owned companies? These can be difficult to find in stores, but a subscription box will deliver a quality curation right to you – no effort required on your part.

Women might find other types of subscription appealing too, such as flowers or tampons. After all, why not make yourself feel good?

Vegan Cuts is a vegan subscription box company that has a few options to choose from. Their makeup box is just one, they also have a beauty box for skincare and body care products and a snack box for those who want a regular supply of healthy vegan snacks.

The makeup box ships four times a year – once per season. They promise a minimum of four full-sized products each quarter, offering color customization for certain products. They feature all the top vegan makeup brands from all over, offering some of the healthiest makeup options that are both healthy, eco-friendly, and kind to the animals.

2. Glossy Box

Glossy Box is a budget-friendly beauty subscription box at only $18/month for an assortment of beauty products worth at least $60, delivered each month. In the box, you’ll find a mindfully curated combination of makeup, skincare, body care, and hair care products.

They have also recently launched their very own brand of skincare, focusing on making products that are healthy, effective, and affordable. Some products will be featured in the box, and the rest are available in the store, offered at a discount to box subscribers.

Glossy Box works to include a combination of well-known brands that everyone loves, and smaller, newer brands for customers to discover.

3. The Box by Fashionsta

Fashionsta offers a monthly box of 5-7 beauty products, delivered to your door every month. The box features a mix of makeup and other related beauty products. Other potential items include cleansers, face masks, serums, primers, and more.

The Box is also a great box for the socially conscious as each box purchased contributes to the 1736 Family Crisis Center. This is a  nonprofit organization in Los Angeles that works to help and protect those in domestic violence and/or trafficking situations.

While their subscription box is most popular with women, they do have a box they make specifically for men if they are interested.

4. Tribe Beauty Box

Tribe Beauty Box offers a beauty subscription box that, while heavy on the makeup, does include a mix of other beauty products like skin or hair care. They also include tools like brushes from time to time, meaning you get a great variety of things from month to month.

Tribe Beauty focuses on including and promoting indie beauty brands in hopes of connecting customers to their new favorite company. They also focus on companies with female CEOs. They’re trying hard to support the little guys, empower women, and change the status quo.

5. Kinder Beauty Box

Kinder Beauty Box is a subscription box that focuses on clean, healthy, and all-natural beauty products. Everything they offer is also vegan and 100 percent cruelty-free. You can’t get much better, or kinder, than that.

The box ships once per month and include a selection of products, with at least two full-sized, that are worth up to $165. Unfortunately, clean beauty isn’t always cheap, but by subscribing to Kinder, you can get some high-quality things at a fraction of their retail price.

Product selection includes an even mix of makeup, skincare, haircare, and other related beauty products.

6. Boxy Charm

Boxy Charm is the go-to box for a solid makeup subscription. With a heavy lean towards makeup, you’ll only get a small selection of other beauty products. Most boxes will include at least one eyeshadow palette, which is good news for those who love to play around with color.

For subscribers, they also have a popup store where you can get a huge assortment of other products ar huge discounts. It’s only available to members, so if you’re interested in these savings it’s just another perk of signing up for the monthly service.

7. Lip Monthly

Lip Monthly is a great little makeup box for those on a budget. It costs less than $20/month and you get five lip products with each bag. While there isn’t a huge variety in the type of product, there are a ton of things you can get for your lips.

Between lip gloss, lipstick, lip stains, chapsticks, and all the other things out there, you can never have enough for your lips. It’s especially perfect for the lip enthusiasts who love to have a different shade to go with every outfit. Each box comes with at least $50 worth of products, all packaged in a cute little bag that you can re-use for a variety of purposes.

8. Medusa’s Makeup

Medusa’s Makeup is a monthly subscription that sends you a handful of 100 percent vegan and cruelty-free makeup. It’s a bit different than most makeup or beauty boxes as there are no other beauty or skincare products mixed in, and it’s almost exclusively the Medusa’s Makeup brand.

Every once in a while they’ll have a guest feature, but they mostly send you a curation of their products. If you love this brand then this is perfect. They’ve got a little of everything but they specialize in things that are a little extra sparkly, colorful, and adventurous.

9. The Beem Box

The Beem Box is a beauty subscription box designed specifically for women of color. For each box, they curate a selection of products that are designed to work with their darker skin tones. This includes all different kinds of makeup, from eyeshadows to lip colors.

They also work hard to feature as many indie makeup brands as they can. This creates awareness around small and up-and-coming brands and getting their products to women who may become regular customers after discovering them in the box. The box ships every two months, making it a good choice for those who don’t need something new every month but still want a regular surprise.

10. Babe Box

Babe Box is a subscription box by Baby Cosmetics that includes a mix of makeup, cosmetic tools, and other beauty products each month. The company aims to empower women while making their lives easier by delivering them the best self-care and beauty products every month, saving them the effort of spending hours searching for what they need.

All products included in the box are full-sized, meaning you get the full value of the item. They also include some exclusive collaborations and limited edition products for their members to enjoy. They promise at least $80 in value and it ships once a month.

Things to Consider When Having Makeup Delivered

The world of makeup is so vast and there are so many options that it can be daunting to decide exactly what you want. Companies are also well aware that many people are hardcore makeup enthusiast who just can’t get enough, so there are plenty of monthly services competing for your business.

Before making a decision, consider a few things:

The Contents

Even though some boxes brand themselves as makeup subscriptions, they do often include an assortment of beauty products. Read the descriptions carefully and look up a few of their past boxes so you can get an idea of the assortment you’ll receive.

From the above list, Boxy Charm is quite heavy on the makeup, and Medusa’s Makeup box will, in fact, send you only makeup.

The Box Value

Because it’s such a competitive market, there are a lot of boxes out there that offer exponentially more value in their box than what you’ll pay each month. Most boxes list their minimum value as well as the total value of each past box.

If you’re on a budget and looking to treat yourself, do some comparisons to find out how to get the most bang for your buck.

Are They Cruelty-Free?

This is becoming increasingly important to a lot of people. As the realities of animal testing become more prevalent, more companies are going completely cruelty-free. If you support the movement and want products that aren’t tested on animals, make sure they have this label before you spend your money.
