This was a spectacularly fast recipe that just wasn’t very tasty, or will need some serious tweaking to get it right. It seems that all of my prosciutto recipes turn out that way, so maybe I’m cooking the prosciutto wrong. What starts out as an already very salty piece of meat becomes even saltier and tough when pan fried.
What’s more, I didn’t have any fresh sage, so used ground sage in moderation. Although the flavor combination of sage and prosciutto was pretty tasty, the resulting chicken was just kind of boring.
Even while making this recipe I was just thinking, “ummm, is this is?”.
The final photos don’t have much to show – just some chicken and prosciutto, which is all this recipe really is. I wasn’t very impressed, but it was super fast to cook. I think I’d rather just have garlic and olive oil chicken seasoned with salt and pepper if I’m going to go the super-plain route though.
