Pear & Pecan Crumble Pie
This pie is a delicious way to use a bushel of pears! It is sure to complement any fall dinner party.

Spiced Pear Filling
- 2.5 pounds Pears peeled and sliced
- 6 tablespoons Sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 0.5 teaspoon Salt
- 2 tablespoons All Purpose Flour
- 1 tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons Ground Nutmeg
- 0.50 teaspoon Ground Cloves
- 0.50 teaspoon Ground Allspice
Pecan Crumble Topping
- 5 tablespoons Pecans lightly toasted and chopped
- 9 tablespoons Butter melted
- 2.25 cups All Purpose Flour
- 0.75 cups Light Brown Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Salt
- 1 tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
- 0.25 teaspoon Ground Cloves
Spiced Pear Filling
Peel and slice the pears thinly. Toss with sugar, lemon juice, and salt, set aside.
In a small bowl, mix flour and spices. Sprinkle evenly over pears and toss to coat.
Let sit to macerate until pie is baked.
Pecan Crumble Topping
Mix brown sugar, flour, salt, and spices in a large bowl.
Stir in butter with a spatula, just until the flour mix is evenly coated and you’re able to create loose clumps. Fold in toasted pecans.
Refrigerate until firm, then assemble onto pie filling when ready to bake.

Preheat oven to 350F. Prick the bottom of the chilled pie crust with a fork several times.
Spread pear filling in evenly. Crumble pecan topping over generously, focusing on the middle and top of pie.
Bake on a sheet pan in the bottom third of the oven for 30-40 minutes, or until top is golden and pear juices are bubbling on the edges. Let cool and serve sliced with whipped cream.
