Ingredients
For the Shawarma
- 1 Kilogram Chicken Thigh Fillets
- 8 Pieces Flatbread
- Chopped Lettuce
- Tomato Slices
- Onion Slices
For the Marinade
- 1/4 Cup Yogurt
- 2 Cloves garlic minced
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Chicken Masala
- 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
For the Garlic-Tahini Mayo
- 1/2 Cup Tahini
- 1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients for the marinade in a bowl. Add chicken thighs and marinate overnight.
- Whisk all ingredients for the garlic-tahini mayo in a bowl. Set aside.
- Grill chicken thigh for 3-4 minutes per side. Leave to rest for a few minutes. Slice into strips.
- Heat flatbread on the grill or a non-stick pan.
- Lay flatbread on work surface and spread garlic-tahini mayo on top.
- Fill with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and strips of chicken.
- Roll and serve.
