Ingredients

For the Shawarma

  • 1 Kilogram Chicken Thigh Fillets
  • 8 Pieces Flatbread
  • Chopped Lettuce
  • Tomato Slices
  • Onion Slices

For the Marinade

  • 1/4 Cup Yogurt
  • 2 Cloves garlic minced
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Chicken Masala
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice

For the Garlic-Tahini Mayo

  • 1/2 Cup Tahini
  • 1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients for the marinade in a bowl. Add chicken thighs and marinate overnight.
  • Whisk all ingredients for the garlic-tahini mayo in a bowl. Set aside.
  • Grill chicken thigh for 3-4 minutes per side. Leave to rest for a few minutes. Slice into strips.
  • Heat flatbread on the grill or a non-stick pan.
  • Lay flatbread on work surface and spread garlic-tahini mayo on top.
  • Fill with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and strips of chicken.
  • Roll and serve.
