22 Divine Steak Pasta Recipes You Can Make For Yourself

March 25, 2023 by Food For Net
Home ‣ Recipe Roundups ‣ 22 Divine Steak Pasta Recipes You Can Make For Yourself
A selection of six different steak pasta dishes, all from steak pasta recipes offered by food bloggers

Pasta is healthiest and tastiest when served with some source of protein, like chicken, ham, ground beef, or even bacon. But, what about steak pasta recipes? While the combination of steak and pasta isn’t incredibly common, it should be, as these two ingredients are almost made for each other.

Think about it. Steak is rich, juicy, and packed with nutrients, while pasta tends to be creamy and comforting. When you choose the right recipe, the flavors and textures complement each other perfectly. There are nutritional benefits too – as steak is very high in protein and low in carbs, while pasta is the reverse. All you need is some source of fiber and you have a complete meal.

You could just serve pasta as a steak side, but why not make a recipe that includes both steak and pasta as ingredients instead? There are plenty of amazing recipes to choose from. Many of them are also easy to prepare.

The recipes on this list all feature steak and pasta, but do so in very different ways. Some include plenty of veggies in the mix, while others aim for creamy and comforting dishes instead. There are also some that focus on familiar ingredients and flavors, and some that break out of the box entirely.

Needless to say, there’s a recipe for everyone. And, if you want more flavorful dishes, you could experiment with different spices for your steak or even sign up for a steak of the month club (yes, those exist and they’re as amazing as they sound).

P.S. If steak and pasta isn’t the right combo for you, there are plenty of other delicious types of pasta dishes.

Top Recipes Featuring Steak And Pasta

Keto Beef Stroganoff

A teal bowl with low carb noodles, beef stroganoff, and a fork
Stacey // Beauty & The Foodie

Let’s start with something familiar. This beef stroganoff recipe comes from beautyandthefoodie.com and includes a rich creamy sauce with plenty of mushrooms and onions.

It’s a keto recipe, which means that it doesn’t rely on traditional pasta at all. Instead, Stacey recommends using either shirataki noodles or hearts of palm noodles. These products are both very low in carbs, so they’re perfect for keto.

Of course, you don’t need to stick with low carb noodles. This dish would taste even better using regular pasta instead. Fettuccine is a fantastic place to begin, but don’t be afraid to experiment with other types as well.

Mongolian Beef Ramen

A large white bowl containing beef, veggies, and ramen noodles, where someone is using chopsticks to grab some of the meat
Kelley // Chef Savvy

While ramen noodles go by a different name, they are still a type of pasta. They’re also a very practical option as they’re fast to cook and can even be ordered online.

This recipe from chefsavvy.com shows you a delicious way to combine steak and ramen. What’s more, it’s a very easy meal that can be made in under 30 minutes. That’s perfect if you want a tasty dinner after a long day of work.

The flavors of this dish are also seriously amazing. As such, this could be one that you make time and time again, especially on busy evenings.

Steakhouse Macaroni And Cheese

A table top with a small dish of macaroni cheese that also has spinach and beef mixed through
Kate // Framed Cooks

Have you ever paired mac and cheese with steak? This recipe from framedcooks.com shows that the two meals don’t just work together, but actually complement each other extremely well.

The steak is also a great way to make mac and cheese more satisfying. After all, the pasta dish is comforting, but it’s not all that filling on its own. The addition of creamed spinach means that you’re getting extra nutrients in the meal too.

Orange Beef

A white plate with fresh pasta and steak in an orange sauce
Kimberly // The Daring Gourmet

This meal comes from daringgourmet.com and shows that you can do many different things with the steak and pasta combo. This time, the meal features a spicy and sweet orange sauce. This elevates the flavors of the beef and the pasta.

There’s one catch though – the recipe relies on Szechuan peppercorns. As Kimberly mentions, this spice has a distinctive flavor and can’t easily be substituted. Thankfully, Szechuan peppercorns aren’t too difficult to find. They also work well in many meals, so it’s worth picking some up for yourself. Who knows? You might discover a new favorite.

Garlic Sesame Noodles

A large white bowl containing garlic sesame noodles with plenty of veggies, where someone is grabbing some of the noodles with chopsticks
Chungah // Damn Delicious

Chungah from damndelicious.net provides plenty of delicious flavors in a meal that’s also very easy to prepare. It’s packed with bell peppers, carrots, and head broccoli, which gives plenty of nutrients and texture variation.

One of the cool things here is the noodles. These are basically ramen noodles, so they cook quickly. In fact, you can get the entire meal on the table in 30 minutes or less.

Ribeye Steak Pasta Puttanesca

A cast iron pan with fresh pasta and sliced beef, highlighting the idea of ribeye steak pasta puttanesca
Joanna // Jo Cooks

I love the simplicity of this Ribeye Steak Pasta Puttanesca from jocooks.com. But, simple doesn’t mean boring – not at all. The dish incorporates capers, olives, parmesan, and cherry tomatoes to give you plenty of flavor.

Interestingly, there isn’t any sauce on the pasta. While this might seem surprising, it isn’t a bad thing at all. The approach simply means that the pasta acts as an excellent contrast for all the other flavors. Besides, you don’t always need a rich and creamy sauce for your pasta. Sometimes the simple approaches are much better.

One Pot Beef Stroganoff

A large cast iron pan that contains a one pot beef stroganoff meal
Julie // Bread Booze Bacon

Here’s a second stroganoff recipe for anyone who loves this dish. This one comes from breadboozebacon.com and is impressive because of the convenience factor. It can be made in 40 minutes – or even less than that if you do some prep ahead of time.

This is also a single skillet dish. You first cook the onions and mushrooms in the skillet, then take them out to cook the steak, then start to bring all the other ingredients in to create a creamy and rich meal.

Now, stroganoff isn’t always a steak dish. It’s often made using ground beef instead. However, it’s worth trying this meal with steak at least once, as the change in meat makes a huge difference.

Pasta With Gorgonzola Sauce And Beef Tenderloin

Two large white bowls with spaghetti pasta, mushrooms, and cheese
Katie // Good Life Eats

Want a creamy dish? If so, this Pasta with Gorgonzola Sauce could be perfect. The recipe comes from goodlifeeats.com and truly is divine. It’s designed for filet mignon, although you could use another tender cut of steak instead.

There are plenty of impressive things going on with this recipe, including the creaminess and the rich flavors. You could stick with the meal as pictured, but it’s even better if you serve it with a side of either roast vegetables or salad. Doing so provides you with plenty of fiber and nutrients, giving you a balanced dinner.

Beef Ramen Noodle Soup

A large bowl containing beef ramen soup, complete with an egg cut in half and some chopsticks
Julie // Table For Two

This recipe comes from tablefortwoblog.com and is a fantastic chance to make ramen at home. Like true ramen, the dish is rich in flavor. It also has plenty of nutrients, plus steak, veggies, egg, and noodles. What could be better?

Here’s something else cool – this meal is a fast to make. It only takes 25 minutes from start to finish (and that includes the prep time!).

Philly Cheesesteak Mac and Cheese

A large dish containing a mac and cheese meal made using steak, peppers, and onion
David // Spiced Blog

David from spicedblog.com takes regular mac and cheese, then notches the recipe up dramatically. The dish now includes sliced steak, onions, and peppers. These extra ingredients provide flavor, texture, and color.

As the name suggests, the flavor profile of the dish really is like a combination of philly cheesesteak and regular mac and cheese. And, why not? Mac and cheese gets a bit boring on its own anyway.

Spicy Beef Hokkien Noodles

A large plate containing spicy beef hokkien noodles and veggies, with a chopstick laid over it and a second plate in the background
Nagi // Recipe Tin Eats

This dish comes from recipetineats.com and is a versatile recipe. You can play around with different combinations of ingredients too. Whatever veggies you have in the house are likely to taste fantastic with the noodles and sauce.

A big part of the recipe is a brown sauce that Nagi calls Charlie. She uses the same sauce in many recipes as it is incredibly versatile. You might even discover some recipes of your own that can use Charlie as well.

Of course, Charlie is just one feature of this recipe. There are plenty of other exciting aspects to talk about as well.

Steak Alfredo

A black plate containing fettuccini alfredo with slices of steak on top
Carine // Sweet As Honey

Carine from sweetashoney.co offers this simple and tasty recipe. It really is what the name suggests, a dish of alfredo pasta with sliced steak on top.

Still, there’s something amazing about simple dishes (when they’re designed well). The simplicity means that all the individual flavors shine, giving you a surprisingly delicious treat. Plus, the flavor and creaminess of alfredo sauce goes perfectly with steak.

Steak and Cheddar Mac and Cheese

A large dish containing a steak and cheddar mac and cheese meal, plus a wooden spoon
Lindsay // Pinch of Yum

Here’s another recipe that combines steak with mac and cheese. This version comes from Linday at pinchofyum.com and keeps to the traditional flavors and ingredients of mac and cheese (why mess with a classic?).

It would be a particularly creamy, cheesy, and comforting dish. Seriously. Once you’ve made mac and cheese using steak, you might never go back to the regular version.

Ramen Noodles With Marinated Steak And Broccoli

A large bowl containing ramen noodles, steak, and broccoli, with chopsticks
Heidi // Foodie Crush

Heidi from foodiecrush.com offers this version of ramen noodles with steak and broccoli. The broccoli adds plenty of color and fiber to the dish, while the flavor of the steak still shines through. It’s a fast dish too, taking around 30 minutes to get on the table (partly because it relies on ramen noodles and fresh vegetables).

Like most dishes on this dish, you could easily change the type of pasta if you wanted. Egg noodles would be a nice alternative. Or, you could create a low carb version with shirataki noodles.

Fresh Rigatoni With Marinara And Steak

A white plate with rigatoni pasta in orange sauce, with sliced steak on top
Kerry // Serious Eats

This dish comes from Kerry at seriouseats.com and focuses heavily on the steak. But, there’s also a fantastic sauce for the pasta that brings the whole thing together well.

The ingredients list specifies tenderloin, flap meat, or hanger steak, so you have plenty of options. You could even use another cut of steak without many problems. You could also play around with the type of pasta. Penne pasta would be an easy second choice or perhaps rigatoni.

Copycat Olive Garden Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo

A large white plate with a delicious steak and pasta dinner that's a copycat of Olive Garden's steak gorgonzola alfredo
Kim // Three Olives Branch

As the name suggests, this steak gorgonzola recipe is designed as a copy of the dish served at Olive Garden. The recipe comes from threeolivebranch.com and features plenty of amazing ingredients, including blue cheese, balsamic steak, sundried tomatoes, and heavy cream.

In some ways, this is like a ramped-up version of some of the steak and alfredo pasta recipes that we highlighted earlier on this list. But, honestly, this version is worth every moment you spend on it. How can you not love steak with blue cheese, sundried tomatoes, and a creamy sauce?

Pasta With Steak and Spinach

A white plate with a pasta, steak, and spinach dinner and a fork, with a second meal in the background.
April // Girl Gone Gourmet

The combination of steak, spinach, and pasta is always exceptional. It offers nutrients from both the steak and spinach, plus protein from the steak, and carbs from the pasta. More than that, the ingredients complement each other well – tasting amazing as you eat them.

This recipe, from girlgonegourmet.com, is the perfect example of this style. It relies on a dressing of balsamic vinegar and dijon mustard, which pairs beautifully with the steak and the pasta.

I can imagine this one as a fantastic summer meal, especially as it’s fairly light and shouldn’t sit heavy in your stomach. However, it would be excellent in plenty of other situations as well.

Grilled Steak And Pasta With Roasted Vegetables

A small white plate with a grilled steak and pasta meal, complete with veggies
Jenny // The Thirsty Feast

Here’s a delicious recipe from honeyandbirch.com. It relies on rigatoni pasta in a simple sauce, plus tomatoes, spinach, olives, herbs, and steak. The simple ingredients give the steak a chance to fully shine. I particularly love how good the whole dish looks when served on a plate.

Of course, the rigatoni pasta isn’t essential. You could easily use penne pasta instead or perhaps some fettuccine noodles.

Steak Pasta

A large white dish containing pasta, sundried tomatoes, and spinach, plus sliced steak and cheese on top
Lisa // A Table Full Of Joy

Doesn’t this steak pasta recipe amazing? It comes from Lisa at atablefullofjoy.com and is simply bursting with flavor. The inclusion of sundried tomatoes and spinach is particularly amazing, as these ingredients provide plenty of color and make the whole thing taste even better.

The steak is simply sliced and served on top of the pasta, meaning that you can focus on whatever cut of steak you like. The pasta is easy to change up as well. Lisa suggests using either penne pasta or fettuccine, although the sky really is the limit.

There is also details about additional toppings you can use to make the dish pop even more.

Creamy Mushroom And Steak Pasta

A large plate containing a creamy mushroom and steak dinner
Michelle // Blackberry Babe

Finally, we have this mushroom and steak dish from blackberrybabe.com. It’s an incredibly comforting dish, one that gets rich flavor from the steak and the mushrooms, plus creaminess from a can of mushroom soup.

The use of condensed soup makes this an incredibly easy dish to prepare and doesn’t negatively impact the taste at all. Besides, it’s always good to have some fast and comforting meals at your fingertips. You never know when they’ll be needed.

Creamy Pepper Pasta With Steak Strips

A large bowl containing a creamy pasta meal with steak strips, next to a glass of wine
Claire // Sprinkles and Sprouts

Claire from sprinklesandsprouts.com provides this delicious steak dish. It relies on cooking the beef with a variety of ingredients, like cream and mushrooms, to create a simple and tasty sauce.

The sauce adds interest to the meal, but is relatively mild, so the flavor of the steak still gets to shine through. Claire’s recipe also provides details about how to cook the steak perfectly and even the best way to cut it.

Mediterranean Steak Pasta With Tomato-Olive Sauce

Two plates containing a Mediterranean steak and pasta meal with a fork
Rachel // Feast and Farm

Doesn’t this meal look stunning? It comes from the site feastandfarm.com and shows how the fettuccine and steak style can be truly amazing. A key part of this recipe is the use of a flavor packed tomato olive sauce. This provides plenty of moisture and brings all the ingredients together.

Rachel also provides details about ways to play with the recipe. For example, any type of long pasta is going to work well with the flavors and textures. You also have plenty of options for the cheese to serve with the meal. Even strong options, like blue cheese, can work well.
